    TRANSFER CASE WINE

Does anyone know how to cure the whine in the 1986 RRC transfer case?

    Regards:-

Umm, yeah thanks Ron B, I was hoping that spelling mistake would not be recognised, but hey you are right in a wicked sort of way, a bit of wine would help to dull the sensors.
I am curious as to how many brownie points I lose for that spelling mistake and how much will my subscription go up when I have to renew it again, in leu of this mistake?

Transfer Case is getting a bit old, perhaps try some Land Rover wine instead.

Just drain the wine into a glass and drink it.

You could remove the bottom cover off the transfer case and see if you can lever either the input gear or the intermediate gear forwards and backwards to see if there is any end float.
If there is end float beyond what the manual states, it will allow increased backlash between the gears and generate noise (whine, wine, sound of better half).
