			Brake booster non return valve

					Hi all
The non return valve that screws into my inlet manifold for the vacuum feed to the brake booster has failed.
I bought a replacement one but when it arrived it is simply an adaptor and does not have the one way valve in it.
I contacted the seller and they told me that Landrover has replaced the non return valve with a simple connector.

This is is the new connector on the left with my old non return valve on the right.

However, my understanding is that the vacuum connector at the brake booster is also a non return valve and therefore the one in the manifold is redundant (or a backup) and therefore the system will operate satisfactorily without the non return valve at the manifold.
Am I correct
Regards
Phil
