Guys,
Had the chance to purchase an off market 95 LWB with a bunch of interior and suspension work done, and a ton of attempted engine work. There was an expectation to spend some money on it and make her a daily driver.
This noise started a couple days after receiving and driving around a bit. Engine oil was super low upon checking, added a bunch. Everything I'm readying is that this is either a slipped sleeve or lifters.
So new engine (halfway considered it to be fair) or easy fix?

Sounds like a lifter to me - you did say it was low on oil. Does it get noisier as the engine warms up?

sounds like you had the camera almost right over the ticking. Lifter? Find a video of a loose liner to see what it sounds like and compare themIt sounds like rebuilds are wiping out cams all the time these days, so I would be suprised if you have lost a lifter/cam lobe.
