1991 Classic front door latch pushrods

I'm sure this topic has been addressed many times before, but despite searching all over the Internet, I cannot find any useful advice about how to re-attach the pushrods. The one that connects vertically is obvious enough but the other one defies all attempts to see where it connects, let alone replace it.

Has anyone actually done this? If so, please provide detailed instructions. The various Youtube clips cover everything about the latch plate etc but not one deals with the pushrod connections>

The schematic attached is good, but doesn't explain the repair sequence RRC door handle linkages.jpgRRC door handle linkages.jpg Is it necessary to reve he unit in the face of the door (item 10 in the schematic) to access the linkages?

    Update - door latch pushrods

Please ignore last post. I have foundthe linkage points

BUT - the outer handle still does not work because it is broken into two pieces and it is the lower part only that actvates the pushrods.

Does anyone have a replacement right hand side outer door door handle place please?

Should be the 'same' as D1 Disco door handles, and disco is more commonly available as a wreck.

All these discos are giving me a heart attack!

    Door lock

    Thanks for your advice.

I finally found and ordered one on eBay. Hoping it is the correct unit as many have the hinge on the left and key on the right. Maybe I'm stupid but I can't see how one would work if differently configured, because the bit that activates the closure it at the bottom of the plate, so it cannot just be turned upside down

The colour is unimportant - I'm not a purist!
