If you had a chance to change your Rangie's colour...

What would you change it to?

    Asking for a friend.

I did .... the metalic blue is so unappealing, especially compared to the bright "happy" 70's colours

    Mine was originally white.

The donor (body, radiator, diffs, Ritters auto, etc) was red. Big job to make it white and every time it got scratched it would be red underneath so red it remained,

Red 2 doors commanded an extra 1k or 1.5k $ back in the day in the used market.

I was actually thinking about how hard it would be to make it all white again the other day..............

White every time, especially with the A & B pillars black!

It's made me think about changing the LSE colour from BRG to something else.
the 92 is Ardennes Green and I actually prefer it's slightly more subdued hue, but I don't see it as being a 'better' or 'nicer' colour than BRG - which incidentally is apparently a quite rare colour on the MY93 LSE. Apparently only a 1-year option on hard dash LSE's and yet... I dunno. Something propelling me to a warmer colour.

Pity I can't find accurate period correct swatches from the LR options catalogue. Spent all morning googling and everything is earlier or later MY and inaccurate for AUS market.

Perhaps I should paint it a Mercedes colour and suffer the wrath and expense of having to spray Glasurit clear over base.

Actually no.... I drive this thing offroad so it really needs to be a solid colour.... but not Sahara yellow or trocadero red or tuscan blue, even though I don't mind those colours on other peoples vehicles

It's really much harder than it sounds.

Maybe I should stick to the RAL colour codes and use a heavy industrial colour, just not CAT yellow.

I forgot about BRG............. the pic below was from Pirate and really inspired me to sell the 15x8 Hurricanes and get rid of the rubber flares when a set of 15x7 modded rostyles came up. Sorry about the darkness.

Might not look so bad with red showing in the scratches haha.

Get it wrapped to help prevent bush scratches and hopefully it just peels off if you have second thoughts or want to sell it in it's rare Racing Green state.

It's not BRG, it's Mosswood and indeed it is a rare colour that was only offered on the LSE. Keep it.

BRG is not a metallic colour.
