Can someone tell me where the bolt is fastened for a rear facing baby seat. I like to place it on the backs seat behind the passenger seat.
Thanks,
You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.
My 87 & 88 RRs dont have the restraint points but the later (early 1990s) do.
I was given details of the genuine bracket (BTR453) & also looked at one in a 1993 RR that we had here.
The genuine bracket is just made out of folded sheet metal & it's very weak (you can flex it by hand). I copied the design but made mine out of 4mm steel & reinforced the upper body where it mounts. Mine ain't moving.
I have photos that I was going to put in the tutorial section .......someday.

hi there
when i had my rangies there were no mounts supplied & i had a specially built one in the first one (two door) & a commercialy made one in the four door.
i still have the second one here if you need to buy one?
they can be quite expensive like all kid related things but essentially they bolt into the floor & have a post coming up with a baby mount clip ring on the top & sit behind the seat. it takes up a small amount of space & can be either removed or folded down when not in regular use.
i'll see if i still have a pic of one.
My 85 rangie had one fitted in one of the holes that the xmas tree clip goes in to hold the hoodlining up rear lhd side, my done professionally and lined up nicely with the hole in the cargo barrier for the strap.
