TYRES for Rangie 90/91 Vogue
Hi Guys,
It's been a while since I owned a Rangie and although the fuel prices scare the hell out of me, I bought another.
It's got huge Michelin Synchrone 9 inch tyes on it which put me too high abouve the ground for my liking and I want to put new rubber on it.
The problem is what brand? Michelin or Hancook?
Any sugestions about Tyres and sizes for light off road work?
I have had many dealers say that the Michelins are the only way to go and others suggest Bridgestone or Hancook.
I know a bad selection of tyre can end up to be disasterous and financially terifying.
Cheers,
Shirley.

mmm, well I am looking for my 89 RR atm. I have been told by one guy that Nangkang are good tyres esp for the price... I did a google on them & found their site plus some reviews else where, seem OK...
Maxxis tyres is probly what I'll go for I think, about 198 a tyre - AT of course (60/40%)
going with 235/70/16

I recently put BFG All terains on (225/75 R16) on my 89 Classic
These are nearly identical in diameter to the original tyres fitted by RR.

Tyres
Why dont you see if a form member will swap. Personally I have refused to use michalin since the mid 1980, when on my vw kombi or vw type 3 [Not a 4wd] my brand new expensive michalin tyre had a blow out, and they refused to give me a replacement. They claimed I must have hit a pothole and it was not their fault. But many Australian roads have potholes. Later another michalin may have blown, I am not sure now. But though I had decided to always use Mitchalins before this I now refuse to use them. John.
