    RRC - LT95 Transfer Ratios

    I always believed that the high range ratio in the LT95 as fitted to range rovers was .9962. However I now believe different ratios were used.

    Does anyone definitely know what other ratios were used in the RR LT95 and what year of model changes did the changes occur?

    Thanks

    I'm pretty sure the following ratios were used in Lt95's
    0.996
    1.113
    1.1227
    1.174
    1.34 (stage 1 and county v8 only)
    Don't know the years other than the 0.996 was only in the very last of the 4 speed range rovers.

    G`day Gary

    This is just Range Rover , don`t know pre 71 and all approx , tooth count for true ratio .

    To my knowledge there is no clear cut information .

    71 -76 = 1.174:1 , 77 =1.116:1 , 80 -81 1.113:1 , also late 80 1.122:1 , 82 = 0.996:1 ( till end , last of )

    LT 95 numbers , eg - 355 94060 C ( no spaces in real #s )

    355 = 1.174:1 with suffix A & B .
    355 = 1.113:1 with suffix C .
    355 = 1.122:1 with suffix C from 94060 ( late 80 One )
    12C = 0.996:1 , All that had high comp 9.35:1 engines had this ratio , came together . If high comp engine 0.996 ratio . This is the last ratio till LT95 replaced .

    I haven`t counted teeth for all ratios so can`t say for sure they`re correct but are best i can find .

    Cheers

    Thanks guys - that is great - if I want to get high speed gears for my 101 - I need to be looking at very late LT95s from RRCs.

    Cheers

    Sorry to come in on this thread late.

    Are the 12C (0.996:1 ratios) also the LT95 fitted to the 4BD1 or is that something else again?

    You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

    You are correct there Diana, the 12C was the LT95 for Isuzu county.
