    Injector firing order?

I understand the injectors go off in 4`s but which 4`s. I have one injector not firing, its the wiring not the injector at fault so want to wire it up with another to get it going. The non firing injector is at the rear on the drivers side. 1993 3.9 V8

Phillip A would be able to confirm it ...
    but I believe that it's

left side of motor (4) .... Right side of motor (4) ....

What makes you think it's the wire, but not the injector???

Vehicle was bought with issues from ebay. Did run sort of ok on petrol. Had it converted to gas and has been my daily drive for 14 months. Never ran well on petrol then very bad after gas conversion (gas has been great). I thought they had advanced the ignition for the gas and it has compounded the petrol running issues. Have now been through a new dizzy and today fitted a reconditioned set of bosch 4 point injectors. The engine runs much better but still not right. I have pulled the injector plugs one at a time and connected one of the old injectors whilst the engine is running. I can hear the "free" injector pulsing on all but the right rear connection so it is 100% duff. I can now see that this is where the Gas conversion electrics was tapped into the loom to shut off the injectors when on gas. I was fuming when I came across where they had cut and twisted the wires together, the fault must be there somewhere. So much for a quality job. The air will be blue on Monday when I get to the conversion place but for now I want to sort it myself.

Are you going to take your little friend with you??

Have them solder the connections together on this wiring loom ... not clip join it

Yes ... more advance required for gas ... quite at bit more actually // trouble is that it will be too advanced for petrol

1 to 3 degrees advance for petrol
    25 degrees for gas ??

So they have to find a happy medium ... or you need a switch that can adjust the degrees automatically for both fuels .... Mmmm ... more gadgets

You can run these low comp engines on 9 to 12 degrees with premium ULP, at least then it will be reasonable for LPG, but it is still a compromise running dual fuel on these engines unless running aftermarket EFI etc with dual spark maps IMHO.

The Range Rover L322 4.4.TTDV8 ....probably won't bother with the remap..😈

    Thanks for the replies.
After closer inspection after I had calmed down it appears that the wires going into the injector plug had been pulled so hard that the actual connecting lugs had pulled back out of the plug so was an easy fix once I found that was the problem. The wires had all been cut and at least soldered all back together by the LPG installer. Have timed the car to 9 btdc and she is singing on LPG and 95ron petrol. At last I now have a lot more range with the two tanks now usable, before I was limited to not much more the 250k on lpg alone.
If anyone has had thought about changing their injectors to the bosch 4 point ones I would say 100% go for it. From e-bay USA I got the full reconditioned set of 8 for $45 plus postage of $12, just do a search for 19lb injectors and there are loads to chose from. The tick over now is very stable and the pickup especially at higher speeds fells much stronger.

Just go on Ebay.com, Not .com.au and search 19lb injectors. There are loads, you want the bosch type 3. They fit loads of cars but they mostly state Ford Mustang. They are all yellow and are a lot slimmer than the originals. They are a straight swap. Just be patient and a recon set will come up a .99c starting and a sensible postage figure. Today there were several Buy now at $59 for a set of 8 reconditioned, I got mine for $45 on auction. I have seen second hand sets go for $15 but with no guarantee. My originals are up for grabs in the market place for a case of Ted`s if anyone wants them.

Here is a set but the postage is too much..........................http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/19LB-...Q5fAccessories

Here is a used set but they come up all the time much cheaper...........http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/MUSTA...3A1|240%3A1318
