Hi Diana, the actuator is mounted on a plate which is slotted for adjustment. The other possibility is it is just a lazy actuator. The original RRC ones are quite overcomplicated and prone to internal friction and wearing out. I have had great success fitting aftermarket actuators to these aswell as being cheap(about $15 each when bought as a $59 Kit of 4) they are quicker in operation and very efficient. Makes like Vision etc make central locking kits, I just use the actuators out of them and throw away the other stuff
