    I Need some inspiration.

    Evening Guys;

    I'm at a point where I've got everything I need to put my heads back together again on my Range Rover , It's been sitting on the driveway ever since Prior to christmas

    I suppose my issue is my lack of confidence in bolting everything back together and this is seriuosly working against me , it has demotivated me to do anything to the Rangie.

    This morning I walked outside to the Garage and all I did was sit on a Milk Crate and think about putting the heads back together , that's it

    Does anyone have access to a Step by step manual that I could kindly borrow ?

    I tried readintg thru Haynes and it's really not much help in detail .

    so if anyone has any ideas that would inspire me to get the Rangie back together would be appreciated.

    take the haynes, rip it up, mache it and then sculpt it into body gaurds for the rangie.

    once you start the pulping procedure acquire a Rave CD from incisor and use that as your reference works instead. by the time you get the molding work done and its setting the CD should turn up in the mail

    I know how you feel though, Im in a similar situation at home, admitedly Im not rebuilding an engine i have unfinshed projects I need to finish...

    motivation came in the form of fozzy blowing his startermotor and nessitating that I fix it or push start him every morning.

    Hi,

    Start with the easy bits. Cleaning and surface prep. Clean all the bolt holes, run a tap down the head bolt holes in the block, blow out all the muck and sit the gaskets on the dowels and take another look. You are almost ready to fit the heads on the block already
    Step by step, little by little. Don't be discouraged and as Dave points out, a Rave disc is a must buy for any of these jobs.

    You can ask any questions here too, and don't forget the only silly question is the one never asked

    You will be fine doing this one. From what I've seen you had it all clean and parts labeled in bags etc Shove the pipes back in and put the new engine mounts in. Then show us some pics of the well organised labeled parts you have.
    Once you start it will flow on.

    I have a manual here but inc's would be better.

    If you haven't got it all done next time I'm in Sydney I will drop in with some coldies and we'll get it all done

    I did what you said , This morning I placed the head gasket on the Dowels ,then I had a "hand on the chin" moment ,thinking ,all I could do is look at the clean Block

    Hi Tony;
    The Pipe work is all back in, I spent a couple of hours yesterday doing it,

    s'pose my road block at the moment is "not" asking the silly question , I feel like I've run out of coupons to ask them

    I am often asked to go back to my village as they really miss their idiot

    I am keen to see how this goes, can you post a photographic record of how you do it, I will be watching with interest for when I have to do it myself.
