84 Range Rover Seat Armrest
Hello All.
IS there an easy way to remove the armrest from an 84 Range Rover 4 door front seat. These are the seats with the seat belts in them. My seats are rotten now and I have a set of old sheepskins that I'd like to fit to make it nicer to sit on. BUT I need to get the armrest off to slide the covers over. There is no obvious way this can be done... Any ideas?

I have done this on the 90RRC
On the seat angle adjuster .... Wind it, so the seat "back rest" is wound forward
Remove the back panel off .... Screws at the underside / bottom .... & some on the sides .... at the top ... you have to feel for the screw heads under the cloth .... Pick the cloth away from edges to reveal the screws
Sit and do all the work from the back passenger seats
Once the back panel is off you will see how the cloth is attached to the seat frame .... They will be plastic clips ... Remove the clips off the frame
Stick your fingers inside the cloth and framework ... towards the and around the arm rests .... you will feel the bolts hanging onto the armrest brackets
Use a 13mm ?? spanner to undo them
TIP ... The armrest needs to be spaced away from the seat when the seat cover is installed ..... Use a oversized Nut as washer / spacer and install on the armrest bracket (bolt)
