    brake booster "leak?"

    Hi all,
Once again i have a question to throw into this gracious caudren of knowledge. I have a 86 rangie and i have noticed an air leak where the brake booster joins to the master cylinder i have recently had to bleed the brakes as i had a very average pedal and reduced braking capacity. There was quite a lot of air in the system but no obvious cause ( I went over all the brake pipes and connections). Is my brake booster stuffed and could this have caused the problem i had with the brakes. Thanks

Your master cylinder is stuffed maybe as well as the booster. But I would change the MC first.
I know one guy who kept topping up his Master cylinder and filled the brake booster which then sucked it into the inlet with a subsequent large amount of smoke.
