how expensive and what site... i've got a spacer plate for it im just thinking of doing it properly so there are no issues with airflow and fuel flow.

Buy a whistle for the fuel bowl and extend the vent the pops out the top of the carby and turn the carb around, will improve it greatly
You are aware I guess that the problem with Holleys is not LACK of fuel up hills but that they flood, as raw fuel flows out of the vent into the throat.lack of fuel up hills with my current 350 holley
The fix is to extend the vents upwards and lower the fuel level in the bowl. This assumes your bowl is at the front.
Holley do off road carbs 465? 4 barrel with extended vents/ spring loaded float valve etc. If you google you usually can find a picture, so you can see how they modify the vents.
From everything I have read the 350 Holley delivers plenty of fuel for a 4.4, and if it didn't it would only be evident at the very top end ie 5K revs plus.
So instead of spending bulk money on something that will not necessarily fix the problem, I suggest that you try modifying the Holley or find someone who can.
Turning it around is supposed to help uphill but then you flood downhill.
Of course if this is all to justify spending big bucks to the SWMBO forget all I have said.

This is a sub $20 fix anyone who sells Holly parts can provide the doodad that goes in the floatbowl....works a treat
Unfortunately the doodad (think it was a deflector or such) that fits in the float bowl did not work on mine and in the process actually made the carby flood going down hill also which was way more scary than just flooding going uphill
i didn't try the vent extension though so unable to comment on that one

Hi,
The guy's name is Ross Calgher and he's a whizz with anything to do with Rover V8's. He lives and works about 10 mins down the road from me. He's quite helpful on the phone if you wanted to check options/advice etc.
