Has anyone got pictures of the air spring front axle from a classic?
I'm mostly interested in the shock mounting as these are forward of the airbags and apparently use different length shocks to the coil sprung versions.

A clear illustration of the setup in the 85-94 RR manual - mount is forward on the chassis and does use different shockers.
And there is a bottom shocker mount on the axle as well near panhard rod mounting.

Dougal, if I get the technology to go on Sunday, I'll take some flicks.
But it looks like the shock towers are bolt ons, with crush tubes, I think. The base for the shockers is a special for this axle. The case part numbers are different for EAS/non EAS axles, reflecting the different mounts.
EAS STC 3636
Coils FTC 4417
You'd need an EAS axle casing for the upgrade unless you could fabricate the shocker bases to design.
Over to you, bro
