    Exhaust manifold Gasket

G'day all, it's me Sunwhite again.

I have taken the exhaust manifolds off the cylinder heads on my 1988 3.5L EFI rangie and found there are no gaskets just metal on metal.....All well and good, this is what the workshop manual says. However in the head gasket set I have purchased there are what look like exhaust manifold gaskets?? What have people done in the past? should i fit them or leave them off? I'm inclined to leave them off on the grounds that it was working fine before but maybe I have just been lucky??

All thoughts and comments gratefully received,

    Cheers, Brian

Use a high temperature silicone and bolt it up. Chuck the gaskets behind the dunny door were they belong.
