this is the whole problem, just because you have a rover doesn't mean you have to keep it a rover engine and every thing that goes with them

just my 2 cents. and if any one know where there is a addapter for a v6/th700/lt95 around please let me know. i can't find the guy that made them.

I'm not a purist at all, though many are. It's something that I find interesting and odd as many would consider putting "Jap Crap" into their Landys as its not Rover, but will put in Maxidrive, Coopers, Various springs and shocks etc etc etc etc. So I did a poll to work out whats what.
Good Rover! Bad Rover! Mongrel dog!

Re the adaptor, do you mean LT95 or LT230? The only LT95 adaptor I've seen has been to a C4 auto and was more of an engineering job than a bolt on adaptor.

    Rovercare,

Why wouldn't the 4.6 engine management work if I do a complete swap? Although it is a different vehicle, I have done this same sort of swap to an EB falcon 6cyl which is now powered completely by an AU falcon V8 including engine and body management.

The alarm system is required to mobilise the engine management system.

Thats a **** easy conversion, just need smartlock overridden and your off, My first car was an XF with EL XR6 4L, T5 and slippery.....done plenty more ford since then

Both the GEMS and Bosch engine management are heavily interfaced with the BCM in a P38.............although I've only ever though of trying to fit an LS1 and how to talk to the BCm, maybe the ECU is easier, anyone got some P38 wiring diagrams?
