Can't get out of my 2dr
My 1981 RR has become so fond of our outings it no longer wants to let me out of the vehicle. It has been a progressive problem with both driver and passenger doors, the drivers door can now only be opened from the outside by reaching out the open window.
Can anyone suggest a fix for this problem. I had a 78 RR for spares once and now understand why all the aluminium internal door handles were broken, guess the previous owner was not able to get out either.

You can adjust the actuator rod, inside the door. But if it's anything like my 2-door, the hinges themselves need attention. Once the doors start to sag, you start wrenching on the handles to open them.
My other hate, is those piddly little pins that hold the top handle to the door.
SWMBO keeps pulling the handles clean off the door when she tries to close it.

Thanks for quick response. I will try the actuator rod 1st, the drivers door in particular closes very well without resistance. The passenger may need a little attention to both actuator and hinges.
I do find that if you quickly pull the door inwards while pulling on the handle it makes opening easier but still frustrating.
I will let you know how the actuator adjustment goes.

Pliers, add a nice bend to tighten up the actuating rod, as their is no decent adjustment
Same as stinky falcons XD-XF so they don't break door handles

Thanks for help, I still had half the thread length for adjustment on the actuating rod, simple job too, works like a treat although no adjustment left now other than the plier trick.
