I thought the poverty pack was deleted in Oz after about 1986, so they were all HiLine or Vogue?

    Diana - [3 x RRc Hilines (10-84) 85 model - (5-85) 85 model and 91 model]

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

I can remember PDing a base model RR County(?) in 1991/1992 so they were still around then. It's the only one I remember doing though.

All the RRs before the P38a are called Classics. The Hi Line was introduced to Oz in June 1984. It was a sort of posher RR and was superceded by the Vogue but I do not know when. My Oct 1988 is a Vogue, so the Hi Line had gone by then. It has a "Vogue" decal on the lower tailgate.

There were so many options and variations, its sometimes hard to tell and probably depended also on the day.
If the production line felt like adding some stickers, special trim they did and if not they just left it out, not alwqays on purpose either I feel.
Just the way they were made.

I had 7 RRC's and must say, not two were the same.

My favourite probably the 87 with stonker motor and just basic, never let me down.
    That was not ven hi-line.
Just a blue RRC that I sold to a fella that loved theway it sounded and I drove into the Auto electricians because of some electrical grmlin I just could not find.

Some wire had rubbed through and kept shorting stuff out.
Its solved now and car goes great.
I just recently met the bloke again who has not spend a cent on it bar servicing etc.
he lives in hills here in SA and just pushes the car to its limits.

Hmm, should never have sold it.
Oh well, best of luck with yours.

Any model previous to 89 is a Hi-Line, 89 onwards ate Vogues. Different door trims, better fabric on the seats and with the Viscous Coupling TC.

My 88 is a std model (or dunga spec) hence why I call it the dunga. It's now got 91 Vogue seats with the arm rests and it's goig to sport an auto gearbox soon so it's becoming a bitsa

    Have I read this right?

Aquarangie and Bilbo's posts then makes our RRC a Vogue?

Dec'89 build on the data plate, (which makes it a '90 model according to Ray Spence at Canberra Motor Works), 3.9 auto, with viscous centre. Wood trim in the doors, but not on the dash. Velour seat covering with arm rests front and rear, not leather, a parcel tray, and no Sunroof. No Vogue badging.

I thought it was a Hi-Line, wouldn't dare try and sell her as a Vogue.

So what do I own, apart from the best type of 4x4 in the world!!!???

Same here cept its a '93.
I also have the leather wrapped steering wheel with cruise control and alarm.
I had no idea what it was,my insurance company (racq) looked it up and told me it was a vogue even though it had no badging saying so.Now its insured for $8k instead of $5k which is alot more than I paid for it (blown head, its now a 4.6).

According to Glass's Guide, the Hiline was sold from Sep '84-Dec '85 as a 3.5 carby and Feb '86-Jan '89 as a 3.5 EFI.

The Vogue was sold from Feb '89-Dec '89 as a 3.5 EFI and from Dec '89-Jul '93 as a 3.9 EFI.
