Hard to start first up
Hi All,
Need some help. 1977 2 door rangie P76 motor, re-co 450 holley sometime ago. crank away first up before starts. after this seems to start easy for rest of day. Mech says wait with ignition on for 10 secs for fuel to be pumped up before crank. Says fuel is being evaporated from carby overnight. Still inconsistent. Maybe need new electric fuel pump ????? and where from???

Generic (Facet, etc) low pressure pump from, say, XF Falcon wagon (or similar) ought to do the trick. Definitely NOT high pressure (EFI) pump.
