    Seat Height/headroom in RR LSE

    Good afternoon All,
Have recently been looking at a 93 RR Vogue LSE as a potential new "family car". Something that the two boys can grow into. The wife loves the space and comfort but one of the dissapointments for me is that I dont fit in the front seat (or the back ones for that matter!!). My head hits the roof!!! I am 6'4" and am extremely dissapointed that a pommy car doesn't fit a First generation Aussie pom!! Having a quick look under the seat , it seems that there can be nothing done physically, about lowering the seat? The electronic adjustment does nothing at all as well. Seeing as i am new to this sort of vehicle (own a 96 defender) can anyone please tell me if this is a problem we can solve or do I need to forget about large amounts of leg room and space and look elsewhere? perhaps another RR that has the headroom of the defender??
    Many thanks
    dave

I am the same height and I am quite long in the torso.

When I bought my RRC I pulled some spacers (factory fitted) out from under the drivers seat. They were about 20 mm high. Removing them made all the difference. Now I can comfortably sit in the drivers seat without my head touching the roof.

I've got an LSE but I hid behind the door when they handed out the tall pills.

But I am a little confused by what you said. Are you saying that the electronic seat switch actually is working or not working in the car you looked at. There is a lot of movement available in various directions if it is working properly. Just not sure on how far 'down' is though.

Someone else will be along soon I'm sure to answer further.

    Good choice of car too.

Dave I had EXACTLY the same front seat problem with my LSE. Head rubbed on the hoodlining and it was trhe only thing about the car that really peeved me. Problem is that the sunroof takes away a fair bit of headroom. Problem is as far as I know all LSE's have a sunroof.

Bigjon do you have electric seats ? My LSE did and there were no removeable spacers.
It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".

Correct Vladtepes - all LSEs have sunroofs. And all had electric seats too.

Vlad, so I am guessing that you just learnt to live with it? I guess I could use it to my advantage and just wedge myself in for added security! Seriuosly , if it can't be improved in any way then the vehicle is not really an option. Bugger!!!

If you can live without electric seats Recaros are far superior to RR seats and can be lowered on their runners if necessary. They come up on Ebay or if you are flush they are worth the $1400 each new but you would have to see Recaro re mounts if you want to be legal.

I am 189cm down from 191 when young or so and have no problem in a Vogue with recaros but no sunroof but manual seats in a 92 vogue also have spacers.
    Regards Philip A
