I have located this old Landy at a scrap metal yard. (see attachment if it works)
Would anybody know if this roof would fit on a standard cargo Perentie?
Cheers Chris
Hi,
I have done it to mine. It was a 2 door survey hard top but I bought the 5 door body off ebay (V8 incomplete vehicle) and swapped them over. A chap in Sydney was more than happy to but the 2 door hard top body. Series bodies won't fit properly without fiddling but a 110 body of any sort mounts up fairly easily. Troubles plumbing the fuel tank up if going for the 4 door body and you will have to source the intermediate body mounts as the 2 door soft top is esentially a van without a roof and the sill panel doesn't go further back than the front door and uses different mounting points on the chassis.
Any hard top 2 door bits will fit straight on but you may be limited to fitting the 4 door body for the hard top option as was said about availability.
Cheers,
Brian

I'm no expert by a long shot but from the research I've done you need to remove roll bars and remove roll bar mounting points that are welded in or modify hardtop to fit around these. The other option is swapping out the whole side panel... Someone may be able to correct me if I'm wrong about any of this... Also not sure how that hardtop will mount to top of windscreen and doors ect???
Hi,
Unfortunately no it wont fit.
This is a Series 109" canopy, so 1" too short but biggest issue is the windscreen, the 110 has a higher windscreen compared to a Series windscreen and just wont work.
There is also the issue as previously stated that the roll bars need removing etc - I'd be keeping them (actually I am on the two perenties I own) - Saftey first.
If you get a hard top of a civy 110 or defender that will fit, alll you need to do is take the rope clamp off the top of the windscreen (and the roll bars).
Hope this helps
regards
Scott
I know that a S3 roof and sides will fit as long as you change the windscreen and frame as well. It means you have to remove the 110 windscreen and fit the Series one which will bolt straight up to the roof, and as mentioned remove the roll bars. The 1" difference is in the wheelbase not the body.

does anyone know how different the wheel guards/arches are from a SIII lwb tub to a 110 lwb tub? (both 2 door hard top of coarse)
I take it the tubs are the same width etc?
