Gday All,
As the title suggests anyone turned a 6x6 into an offroad camper setup.
Reckon they could be a great unit if done correctly.
Cheers Ean

And here's an ex-mil 6x6 conversion, curiously also on the Gold Coast as well:
New 6x6 Camper to add to ARN database
LieutenantRover also has a sixby camper in WA, he didn't build it, and it is on a civvy sixby chassis, but is one mean bit of kit!
Here is ours.

i/m in the process of doing it. Used the wall from my mortar carrier as a bed base up front with a Queen size mattress (luxury!!!). Map table has become the dinner table out the back and made seats either side which become a single bed across the back. 60l Engel fridge goes in, working on the gas stove and sink. plenty of room for everything. I based my layout on a Northstar slide-on camper, with the under bed area 9normally over a cab) for storage of tools, food, water tanks etc.
