    land rover perentie 6x6

Hi, hope this is the right place to post this, I have a Land Rover Perentie 6x6 MY95, nice truck drives great, but I just noticed diff oil leaking from the rubber cap on my far left rear wheel, only on the outside. Its not too bad but for sure is leaking and I'd say the seal is gone, my question is, I tried looking today to find the correct part (bearing seal kit) but I have no idea which one I need or where to get it from, if anyone can help I'd appreciate it. Thanks David

Welcome to the forum.. This may be better in the Military Land Rover section - I will get it moved there and leave a redirect so you can find it.

The cup like boot is capable of withholding any oil, it's probably split so just check it's that & you can get them easily enough, so just replace it.
Under $7.00 from Four Wheel Drives here in Melb

its a common problem on 6x6's especially on rears,
check that the breathers on the diffs are working, as this tends to be a cause as they often get blocked leading to to much pressure and the a seal will start to leak. the other reason is 6x6's tend to sit around an not get used as much and the seals dry out. do your self a favour and stockpile a few, you will probably need them. from experience some others will go in sympathy especially on a long trip.

    Cheers

All Four x 4 Spares at Kotara would be your closest supplier.
Don't know the P/N off hand but they're pretty good at interpreting from a description.
