What is holding YOUR roof rack onto your Perentie.

I did a little bit of prep today for my new GS soft top which is due in the next week or so, and decided to remove the roof rack (actually roof rack is a little over describing it!)
I thought I'd find seized bolts and nutserts in the ROPS bar, but no. I found the rack held on by 4 4" x 1/4" fine threaded coach bolts!
And they do not turn as you undo the nuts on the top, because the holes on the underside of the ROPS bar are square and line up with the square section under the head of the bolts.
The rubbers are rather mangled, but they look to me like shocker rubbers will happily replace them.
Be curious to see what others have found.

Yeah, Roof Rack IS over describing it. The rack is only rated to carry a couple of Cam Nets and Poles, nothing heavy at all.

I'm thinking of putting a solar panel on it to keep the battery charged.

Mine is half nutserts (rear), half coach bolts. The rubbers look like radius arm bushes to me.

coachbolts are the standard replacement for missing nutserts
