We had flat tyres, harness and vacuum lines wrapped around the drive shaft, door held closed with jockey straps, then ran out out fuel because the harness to the fuel diverted valve had been ripped out and we hadn't worked out what the harness was for. Luckily she's such a basic beast we just drained the fuel from one tank and put it in the other. We did over 2,200kms and had a ball.... Just wish we had taken some more photos but with all the excitement we didn't think of it at the time.

    WOW! I'm Jealous!

Do you think the Perentie's will be worth some good money on day?

The rarer versions already and as they become sold off and worn out in public hands the good ones will become more valuable as the 2A's and 3's have become. Only the good and in original condition ones will hold their value I would think.

In 2040 (25yrs away) a fully original ex-SASR LRPV, hand autographed by Ben Roberts-Smith VC ...with a 3D video of him signing the bonnet in a memory module that plays 24/7 in the lunar powered-holographic-screen-insert of the gearstick knob... would still not be worth as much as a new Land Rover vehicle, imho.
It'd be a very cool collectable however.

    Carzee..
I agree I bought mine to drive not with the thought that I'll make some $$ in the future.
Love my perentie and I use it as my daily drive even has the baby seat installed a few mods to make it more friendly to my requirements. But I keep everything that I've removed for the future owner if I ever do sell.

The seat -I presume is in the centre. So the weapon bracketry is out and the baby is in. A tad of contrast in that

We need a photo of that I think, make love not war.

We put our child safety seats on the other side of the GS bulkhead, in the rear tub, so the twins faced the tailgate and waved at traffic behind. From 1 til 5yrs.

We originally tried one toddler seat in the centre seat but it was proved a bad move (as my wife had predicted) and they did not have the required motivation or skill to be substitute drink holders. We had to find another solution and ended up with them on the side window sills.

Not the babies, the drink holders.
