Mate that's a disgrace! If the inspector has a bias against a particular vehicle that clearly influences their judgement then he/she shouldn't be there. The compliance is under an ADR, not their stupid opinion.
I hope you escalate a complaint against the fool.
Good luck with it mate, and I hope the only thing you have to change is the oil.
Matt.

Seriously, you're the only person who has had trouble registering one of these RFSV's. Another person with a FFR had troubles with a different chassis number but Grays helped him out there.
I think Grays should be informed that this sort of shenanigans is going on as this will eventually have an impact on their auctions.
Good luck. I hope you get it sorted soon.

I'm going to burst your bubble.
That's an rsv. The bolt on box's on the side are a part of a mission kit.
they have to come off for the vehicle to pass roadworthy.

Hey Chris,
Best of luck with your rover. I had to get a engineering certificate because the chassis Number was different to the one on the plate. I'm in Victoria so the rules are different but still set me back $440. I'd say go to a different engineer, she clearly has it in for Rovers and isn't obeying the law. I'd contact AFM also to let them know, They might have insight and support you with some documents, I've herd they have done that in the past. Go elsewhere get it sorted then report her to SA govt or governing body i'd say if you can be bothered. If your RFSV has a compliance plate, the ADR's that are covered for that Vehicle will be listed, decipher them to see what is covered by the plate before pulling anything off!
Best of luck Mate!
