    Service help

Am going to get my hands dirty and undertake my first major service In a few weeks
I've seen a list of oil capacitys (gearbox, diffs, tc) somewhere on here before but can't find it, hoping someone could point me in the right direction or repost it up here..

As well as any other tips/tricks I might come across in the process would be greatly appreciated

    Cheers 48-625

I keep a list like this for all my vehicles, but I don't think I've ever posted the oil capacity part of it for the Perentie?

    Filters:

    Isuzu
    - Isuzu 8943212191 (Oil)
    - Isuzu 8971725491 (Fuel)

    Land Rover
    - AYG 585 (Oil)

    Donaldson
    - Donaldson P550422 (Oil, best to use the Isuzu filter)
    - Donaldson P900433 (Air, Main)
    - Donaldson P900434 (Air, Inner)
    - Donaldson P550057 (Fuel)
    - Donaldson P550588 (Fuel/Water Separation Filter)

    Fleetguard (Truckline)
    - Fleetguard LF3642 (Oil, best to use the Isuzu filter)
    - Fleetguard AF4059K (Air, Main)
    - Fleetguard AF988 (Air, Inner)
    - Fleetguard FF5030 (Fuel)

    Oils:

    Engine (4BD1): 15w40 (i.e. Castrol RX Super)
Gearbox (LT95): Castrol Syntrans 75w85 (or VMX80 or 15w40 engine oil [hopefully this doesn't start another argument over which is better]); 2.6 litres
    T/C (LT95): 75w80 GL-4 (Castrol VMX-M or VMX80or 15w40 engine oil); 3.1 litres
Front axle (Rover): EP80w90; 1.7 litres
Rear axle (Sals): EP85w140; 2.4 litres

*this list is all to the best of my knowledge and so may not be 100% accurate (but I believe it to be).

Loosen and remove the filler plug before you do the drain.

Front and rear diffs both get 80/90.

    Hi All!

Just wondering what the consensus might be on frequency of oil changes for the Perentie gearbox and transfer case.
I am running a premium mineral 15W-40 diesel formula engine oil in both along with Nulon G70 lubrication additive.
In a gearbox with conventional gear oil and the Nulon G70 additive I generally would generally change the lubricants every 20,000 kms. Was thinking of changing the Perentie gearbox and transfer case at 10,000 km with the logic that the engine oil is lighter in viscosity and therefore have a shorter lifespan, but I may be being over-conservative. Just wondering what others do.

    Cheers, Dave
