SupporterAt first I wasn't sure this copy of the rising sun was a bit of a spoof or just poorly drawn, maybe just the angle of the photo or my mind?. I see this 'demonic' face where the crown is and wondered if it was some angry 'royal' miffed at the army for not continuing with LRover?
Maybe the text should read 'Was Australian Army'.
What is the Army's view on its crest being used in civi circumstances?

I would hang it on the wall of your workshop/garage.
I think you might run into some issues driving a still-in-use and cam vehicle with "Australian Army" on the side. Drive within 50 klicks of a base and you might disappear for a week and not be allowed to tell anyone where you have been
Seriously, the man cave sounds like the go.
Cheers, BDave.
Replace "You are...!", with "Are you...?"

On a sort of related topic, I just tried to register my 1990 ex-Air Force Perentie with the plates RAAF90 and it was knocked back due to its similarity with current defence force details.
I was talking to a guy that wanted to get his ARN as his rego on a green and white plate. I told him I didn't think they would allow that but wasn't sure.
I haven't seen him since so don't know how he went.
Do you think this would be allowed?

Hi, go to the Vicroads website and go to the custom plates section, you can type in combinations and see if they are allowed or availabel, if so you can buy them immediately on line - then you would simply need to allocate them to a VIN number at a Vicroads office
