    Rustproofing for Perentie

On my list of things to do on my Perentie ever since I've had it is to do something regarding internally rustproofing the bulkhead and door frames.
Iin order to actually get it done instead of me debating about whether to do it myself or not, I'm considering taking to a local 4wd accessories firm who do rustproofing to get it treated. Beforehand though I seem to recall reading a forum post here which had some comments/suggestions regarding making provisions to maximise access for spray treatment. Unfortunately I can't seem to find it now.
In terms of access provisions for the bulkhead I planned to remove one of the door hinge-to-bulkhead screws from each of the hinges on both doors to provide an upper and lower access hole. I figure too that the pair of holes in the front face of the bulkhead just above the bonnet line will also help with access (not sure as to the purpose of these holes).....
I thought I also remember reading that the footwells are double-skinned and that it is a good idea to drill a small hole in (presumably the inside skin) for spray access.
The door frames appear to me to have reasonable access for spraying internally just as they are.
Any other hints or guidance would be greatly appreciated.
    Cheers, Dave

I think you are on the right track. I use stuff called 'corrosion block'. It acts like a penetrating oil. I only access using the top hinge.

I have also put small holes in the top and bottom of the door frames to spray in corrosion block. I have door cards, so I just open them at the bottom to spay where the skin meets the frame.

Thanks for the feedback. I figure try and utilize as many existing access points for spraying on the basis that when it comes to rustproofing "more is better".
The double-skinned footwell has got me worried; I'll have to try and track down the thread/post where I saw it mentioned, and have a crawl underneath the truck and have a good look to see what the arrangement is. The bulkhead might be somewhat more complex than my Series 1 and 2A.
"Corrosion Block" sounds like a good product; I'll have to investigate it a bit especially if I end up doing the spraying myself. If I end up getting someone to do the rustproofing I imagine they'll use whichever product they have in stock or use by default.

    Cheers, Dave
