What about using the sliding windows used in horse floats, CR Lawrence is one manufacturer.

They have frames from 21 1/4" through to 49 1/4" all 15 1/4" tall
HTW20013 - CRL Horizontal Sliding Horse Trailer Window 21-1/4" x 15-1/4"
You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.
