    Need new front shocks

    Hey guys

Have a FFR SC 110 isuzu 4bd1 with bull bar and winch, front shock has snapped inside and is slapping around inside the spring.

sooo...anyone have any ideas for which shockers i should get to replace both fronts?

    Thanks

    Andrew

They are same spec as a County 110 shock, or can use a defender shock.

I've read the OEM Puma shocks are pretty good. People often remove them near new and replace them with a Koni or Bilstein. Keep an eye on eBay for them as they are often quite reasonably priced.

Ive used Dobinson gas shocks which are ok for about 3 to 4 years. Mine were flogged out after 4 years and a couple of central/western Qld trips. I think I paid about $600 for a full set.

Koni Raids are rated very highly. I regret buying a set when the ozy dollar was at its peak. They are pretty expensive now.

If you want something to get you out of trouble jump on eBay or one of the UK suppliers sites such as paddocks/craddocks/duckworths/series spares etc. Some have struck dramas which shipping shocks, others no worries. So it can be a bit hit and miss.

I have only had rears fail.

I ended up buying a set Aussie Ryder shocks from Australia ultimate suspension, did the job and set me back just over $300 for the fronts, much smoother and flatter ride now without being too harsh, reduced body roll very noticeable.

Oh great thing about these shocks, can send them back and have them rebuilt for $60 each.

Question, how do I know what condition my rear shocks are?

    Compare them to the front?
