    Series 3 truck cab conversion

Hi Guys. I've Seen the defender truck cab conversions on here but those truck cabs seem to be very hard to find save buying one in the UK and the only one that is for sale is very expensive. Would a series 3 truck cab fit? I'm not a land rover expert so I'm unsure of the differences. But series 3 cabs seem to be easy to find and very cheap... Thoughts??? Cheers...

Also just on a side note... What would the average price on stuff like doors and bonnets be. I've rang a few wreckers and they want nearly $500 a piece it would seem almost cheaper to just buy a high km, rusty county or defender get the parts and sell the rest...

Have a search. There has been much discussion on this very topic.
In short, no, it's much more difficult than you may think.

As already stated NO series 3 top won't fit. Completely different windscreen.

And yes parts for perentie can be expensive, sometimes

Having done one your best bet is to keep pestering all the usual 2nd hand suppliers until one pops up..
it will cost you circa $2k complete though but really worthwhile if you are not fussed about originality.
A new canvas costs almost the same so it is just a case of finding one... cab that is.
You could also look for a rusted out ute and part out the rest of it.
    Good luck.

To provide more detail - The Series 2/2a/3 cab roof is not interchangeable as the windscreen is higher on the 110. The rear of the cab however, is interchangeable (difference is the window and seat belt mounts), so you really only need the roof.
