Yes, wheels, but could also be an unbalanced or misbalanced propshaft perhaps? It does come in at a certain speed and stay.
Hi all just a newby to forums, so far found so much information about my perentie its incredible. I need some help though. I am getting a bad vibration through the whole vehicle, not like a wheel balance problem. The whole body seems to vibrate. It starts at about 60/70 kph and gets worse the faster I go. The severity of the vibration seem to come and go though which is why I don't think its a out of balance wheel. If anyone has ant ideas I would appreciate it. Tony

Go through a logical sequence
check uni's and make sure the bolts are tight on the uni's.
Check all tie rods
Check tyre condition and age
Check wheel balance and alignment
Then perhaps the harmonic balancer.
Can't think of anything else just yet but more will come on and suggest
The actual Perentie model is not stated.
The RFSVs can have bad noise/vibration issues due to the split rims and tyres used.

Mine also had loose hub bolts and loose propshaft bolts, and a totally stuffed rear prop shaft if that helps.
Thanks everyone. It's an 89 GS cargo 128000 km .I have had it for about 4 months the vibration started about a week ago after I smelt what I think was the clutch burning when driving at 110kph . When I backed off the smell went away . I think a couple of days later the vibration started. Maybe just a coincidence. I have checked the drive shafts , uni joints and steering links, they seem ok , the steering box has a bit if slop but that was there from the start, but I noticed the front diff input has more slop than the rear diff, could the diff or clutch be the cause. I haven't been able to get the wheel balance checked as yet.
Radius arm bushes......

SupporterMy Perentie initially had a bad vibration at the front end which kicked in at 80kph; cured by a wheel balance to all four corners. There wasn't a balance weight on any of the rims.....
I would have thought though if it was a wheel balance issue you would have had the vibration there from Day 1.
Good luck, Dave
