    4X4 and 6X6 driveshafts

Just out of interest does anyone know if there is any difference between the front and rear (intermediate in the case of the 6X6) propeller shafts. Even though they have slightly different part numbers I have compared them side to side and can't see any difference. I have a couple of spare new ones for a 4X4 and it looks like they will end up on the 6by one day

Is there a difference in the overall length with the slip yoke fully extended or compressed?

    Just chucking ideas out there...

intermediate to rear are different on a 6x6

intermediate on a 6x6 is almost identical to the rear on a 4x4 from memory but has a different number as part of being identified under a different part stream and as a sub part of the whole rear drive shaft assembly. I'll have to check my RPS's to find out what the part numbers were

its like the difference between the left and right window secion, same bit of glass but because of a minor difference (the side the finger hold is pushed in from and the orientation of the sliding seal) it gets a different part number.

Thanks Dave, I thought that may have been the case. They appear to be the same thing just a different part number according to my RPS for both vehicles.
