    Dealer used perenties

Just wondering what people's thoughts are about this.
I went and inspected it at manheim fowels in Melbourne. It was in great condition
Arn 51-575.. Unfortunately the bidding started at my maximum. I watched the simulcast auction but was distracted and didn't see what the end price was. Obviously its been purchased by a dealer and the price inflated.
Im hoping to get a perentie in the upcoming minto auction, looking at the website it seems that only gs and personnel carriers will be up for auction, i would love a rfsv but I certified wont be paying $29,999

Looks in great condition but I think they will have that in their yard for a while. I'm also guessing there is no option to choose 4 speed on carpoint or they have no idea about Perenties (probably both).
If you need to contact me please email homestarrunnerau@gmail.com - thanks - Gav.

I agree with you. I saw some info on this forum about some rfsv's going for much cheaper than that at the afm auctions. I looked at remlr website And found that 51-757 was sold at minto auction in march 2015. Then sold at fowels in march 2016. I wonder what it was doing for 12 months and how it ended up at fowels.. I feel like going to the dealer and low balling him.

You'd be mad to pay that price for it.

It's had a steam clean and $200 of rattle can paint put on it.

    $30 grand?!

What do rfsv's commonly fetch at auction anyway? Much more than a gs or ffr?

Last s/w was over $30k bid (add buyer's premium, gst , rego costs etc) - over $37k on the road if in NSW.

There is another s/w coming up next week I believe.

While I agree that the asking price of that RFSV appears quite high there is a world of difference between a "GS" and a RFSV if the buyer wants a well equipped off-road vehicle. The cost of the built in inclusions in a RFSV if added to a "standard" Perentie also would be surprisingly high.

Usually quite a bit higher when you could last get them.

Why would you want an RFSV in particular?

A few reasons. Power steering, different t-case ratio, stronger front diff, 2 tanks, lots of storage, spare tyres. And its all original. I also like the look of the higher roof
