    Replacement Perentie FFR Tail Lights

The bulb socket for the stop/tail light is loose in one of my tail lights causing intermittent low power so I have bee looking for an LED solution, waterproof etc.

    This one popped up today:
    https://www.vicoffroad.com.au/promo-...D&utm_content=

From a quick look it appears that the original Hella bolt mounting is about 127mm apart.
    Can anyone confirm this please?
    Or
Has anyone already found a reasonably priced LED Replacement?

I balk at the $300-400 Hella parts but did find some at about $180.

    Regards

    They look pretty good.

Bear in mind the Perentie lights are quite deep. These lights have no depth. You may need to find a method of packing them out.

Just what if say someone was a little crafty they could take the gut`s out the Hella and mount the LED inside Then use the hella outer .
This all depends on the Quality of the Led`s for brightness which can be hit and miss with cheapo Led`s

I wouldn't worry about the Hella lens, unless you were a rivet counter. I'd be working out how to mount that LED assembly on the Hella base, if I wasn't a rivet counter.

I need to get a FFR W/W so I can do all these types of changes and set it up for touring.

Here's what I did, using LED Autolamps 80BARWM (LED Autolamps is the brand). They're a perfect fit.

The thread in the middle of the bracket is for the earths.

That's a good idea to fab a bracket! I think the original hella mounting bolts also hold that mud catching piece of tin which holds the back of the mudflap.

I'm not adverse to fitting led bulbs in the hella light I just don't know if I can successfully fix the socket. I did try one bulb and it was pretty poor. The second bulb burnt out before I could see it in action due to the broken socket.

Has anyone got a link to a decent led stop tail bulb?

    Regards
