Thread: Perentie 6X6 gearbox difference.

Hello, would anyone be able to tell me the difference between a 6x6 gearbox and a 4x4 gearbox please.

The actual gearbox is the same but there are differences in the transfer case. They are minor differences such as different speedo gear and worm and the 3rd axle drive bolted on where a pto would normally go on a non military box. The military 4x4 and 6x6 use an underslung pto which is driven off a special gear on the rear of the minshaft. You can change it around pretty easily to fit the 4x4.
