Thread: Right hazards don't come on

Perhaps it may be best to start looking at the connectors and any earths that you cleaned, if it was only after you doing that when the problem first came up.

A few questions to think about...

1. do you have a wiring diagram?
2. do you have a continuity indicator of any kind (eg. test light) ?
3. Is your fuse box one of the more recent ones with blade fuses or do you still have glass fuses ?
4. when cleaning - could you have dislodged a connector behind the fuses ?

Unless I am mistaken, the only place where you can have blinkers working but not hazards is the actual hazard switch. And with my experience showing these are one of Lucas' prime designs(sarcasm), that is the where I would expect the issue to be.

2. I have a multimeter that can be used as a continuity indicator.
3. Well, here is where I should explain a bit more. I did more than clean. I removed the old connectors and wired in a blade type fusebox. To get a good connection on the clips, I soldered them on so they are very solid.
4. No, I soldered the wires onto the new clips and those seat nicely on the fuse box.

I think I should clarify something else. Before I replaced the fusebox, I had no hazard lights at all. Turn them on and ... nothing. So having the left hand ones work is progress. It would be nice to have both sides working.
