    Recently 2nd gear is popping out. Not all the time. Common?

    Most likely excessive endfloat on the mainshaft. Probably a u/s thrust needle roller bearing. Take the top off the box and see how much movement there is on 2nd gear. Be careful you don't drop the 3 selector detent springs just under the top cover when you lift it off.
