Thread: Hand throttle won't lock in position

Hi All,

I cannot seem to get the hand throttle to lock into a position to provide tension to the cable and therefore increase the idle speed.

Do you think that this is a problem with the mechanism itself and that I should replace it? There is nothing to take apart to have a look at, as the throttle mechanism itself is a sealed up and doesn't come apart.

Are you just trying to increase the idle, or are you trying to make the hand throttle functional?
