						Hi all,
New custodian of Barney, finally had the electrics and mechanicals sorted, at the moment at leastand now Vic registered. Got some pics that will be upside down, can’t for the life of me sort it out, even when I edit them upside down in the hope they come right side up!
Changing out the split rims and tyres, keeping in storage for the next custodian when the time comes, and purchased HD Wolf Rims (2200kg) and decided to stick to 235/85/16 on the 16x5 rims. Was leaning towards 255/85/16 but choice wasn’t as good and didn’t like the thought of waiting for tyres if I needed them whilst away.
my question is that there is a plethora of tyres now in this size and seeking guidance from what you are running. I’m not wedded to a M/T but like the tyres to be good in the wet.
Cheers, GregF3801822-9119-45F6-B4D2-3FADA589CC3D.jpg417D0FDC-6C77-42C5-B411-2ED3E61D3C20.jpgE0AB85B3-9DC3-4D4F-810B-56DF1C431407.jpgEE9278FC-2CA5-4D1E-9BB4-ABFB731D9F6D.jpg

Had a look at the CDL the other day to determine if it was working. Other punters have mentioned a distinctive sound as the vacuum pump engages when the dash knob is pulled and the 4x4 light lights up, but buggered if I can hear anything with the engine rattling away 🤣! So started Barney again engaged the CDL, light on and handbrake, jacked up a front wheel and other than a bit of free play it didn’t move. Just to check down and up again without the CDL and could turn the wheel completely around, so check completed and happy that the CDL is functional. Result!

Checked out the air compressor and the army supplied tubing yesterday. Air compressor works and tubing is beyond help so I’ll order some for the ARB compressor, saw it on eBay.
