My 02 Defender has the radio CD changer fitted as per the pic below.

Since I picked it up about 8 weeks ago , every now and then , the radio just turned itself off for no apparent reason.

It came on again with a push of the on button.

Until Fri night when it just died compeletely and now wont turn on at all

The power is on to it , as the red light flashes and the buttons light up when the park lights are on.

I bought a Cassette deck /iPod adaptor that is a casette shaped thingy that you pop in to the deck , with a standard earphone lead connected.

Popped that in Fri lunchtime and the unit died that night.

Coincidence?
