I sell the Honda EU Inverter generators at work ... an EU10i (1000w MAX) will NOT run a microwave (unless it's a tiny, tiny tiny, tiny unit).

An EU20i (2000w MAX) WILL easily run a microwave (unless it's a ridiculously LARGE unit - 1200w cooking power ).

The Honda EU inverters will easily supply 50% over there rated MAX for motor starting applications (will start most 2HP induction ecelctric motors ... ie: pump, A/C, etc ... )

MOST microwaves need UP TO double their cooking power (ie: an 800w microwave needs up to ... generally less ... 1600w .... more like 1200-1400w ... inrush current is not an issue with the EU gen's comfortably handling 50% over for 3-5sec's ... Kipor's fail miserably at this )

You need an EU20i to run a microwave !
