Thread: Entering Disco 2 Stereo security code and other questions

Hi,I've got this unit in my Disco 2, reconnected the battery after a stint in the workshop and it now needs the security code. I got this by giving the Land Rover dealer a call. The instructions that I have for the audio in my vehicle don't match this unit (shows a tape player). Can someone please confirm the key in process to clear the security code. I have pressed the first 4 preset buttons to get the correct code to show then pressed the skip track button and it refreshes again, it now says I'm locked out for 30 minutes (gave me 3 chances).

Also a couple of other queries about this unit:

• The buttons don't light up, basically making it useless at night. Any way to correct this?

• My steering wheel controls also don't work

You enter the Code by pressing numbers 1-4 the required number of times to enter the four digit code. Then press the right pointing arrow at the right side of the unit to enter the code, and the unit will spring into life. (Well it does every time I have had to enter the code after doing some work on my D2a.)
