    Orbital Batteries ?

    Looks as if one of my batteries may need replacing.
    I have Exide Oribtals in there at the moment and up until now haven;t had any dramas with them - they seem like good batteries.

    1. Given that I'll eventually be running a three battery set up (Traxides SC-80) and a winch...

    Ignoring the 3rd battery for now (which will be a deep cycle at the rear of the vehicle) - what should I be looking at for the main batteries.
    The ones I have at the moment are labelled cranking/.deep cycle (seem to be a dual purpose battery).

    What are other people using ?

    I DO want maintenance free batteries, so lead-acid ones are not an option thanks.

    Chinese AGMs have by far the most energy density with an N70 size having about 90-105AH. Fullriver 105AH at $299 on the internet is my pick at the moment.
    My Absorbed power 90AH is now 6 years old and going OK .
    I will replace with a Fullriver 105AH.

    My Lead-Acid "Catapillar" batteries are Maintenance Free...
    Sealed case (with vents like AGM) stronger grids and higher heat tolerance.

    For $105 from CAT I'm not changing anytime soon

    and higher heat tolerance.
    Under the seat of a 130 they should last forever , considering 6 years under the bonnet of my RRC.
