    D3 - ECU - RF birdies ?

    Hi Folks,

Recently fitted my Codan 9323/9560 to the D3.

Unfortunately one of the ECU's is producing birdies on various frequencies.
Obvious found only when engine is actually running (iginition on and engine not running - no problem).

Anyone else found the actual source and have a fix ?

    Gary

Try running the radio from a sepaerate battery not connected to the vehicle. This will tell you if the interferance is coming in via the power. You can also try disconnecting the antenna. These faults are generaly hard to fix, and are caused by the computer and sensors on the motor.

    Funny...

My "Sure Power" relay doesn't always work, and I drove over 1200kms (one day's drive) last week, without having the secondary battery system charging whilst underway... yup the birdies were there.

But, you have reminded me, I must check the "bonnet" bonding, so if there is anything there.
