Thread: 80 Channel UHF

Uniden have released the unlocking procedure on their website for those of us who have 77 channel ready equipment too.

And my recently purchased ICOM 440 cannot be upgraded -

From ICOM Aust

"Hi Gary,
The IC-440 would have proved too costly to upgrade and Icom decided
not to offer the upgrade as we will be offering the upgrade for the
IC-400PRO and the IC-41S.
Please note that it will still be legal to operate the IC-440 for 5
years after the 80chanel spacing becomes legal and quite a few of our
customers are happy to continue purchasing the current model.

It tell me I can, but not how. That's what I'm after.

The programming file for the iCom IC400Pro is up on the Yahoo group too.
