Thread: DVD Headrest Installation x4 - anyone done it on a 00D2?

Hi All,
Hope you are well. I am looking at installing x4 DVD headrests into my 00D2 to keep the little ones happy on trips...

... Is it a pain to have them wired to the battery (?) instead of plugging them into a 12V plug (little fingers and wires don't mix so the less they can touch the better)...

Has anyone installed DVD headreasts into the driver/passenger seats AND the middle row seat headrests? We have a 7 seater so 2 in the middle and 2 in the cargo area. Hope that makes sense...

I know its going to be fiddly!!

If anyone can offer pointers about removing the seat covering (location of clips etc as front seats seem to be the fiddliest) and best way to run wiring would be really appreciated :-D and of course anything else you can add would be apprecaited...

In the end, decided to go with portable DVD players that fold back flat (NOT like the laptop style) for all of them that attach to the headrest and can be removed and used external to the vehicle. Portable / re-chargeable batteries / ease of installation were my buying points... just need to sew myself some headrest bags now...
