Hey guys been searcing but can't find anything specific to the D1 cassette stereo, im looking to pull it out does the dash surrounds need to be removed i can see it has two slits one on either side of the radio, is there a special tool needed to slide in to pull it out? or is it screwed in behind there.

Cheers guys

If it is a Eurovox, it is just a matter of pushing an appropriate tool into ech end which will disengage the locks that hold the radio in.

For a Eurovox it is 2 round holes at each end , and they need a coathanger size wire pushed in with maybe a notch cut into the wire to give pull out purchase.
If a flat slot , then a flat piece of spring steel will usually disengage the locks.
